Binnen onze stichting, voeren we humanitaire projecten uit (e.g. de lifeline clinic en basisscholen), maar ook focussen we ons op onderzoek en hebben we een opvang om gewonde en verweesde dieren op te vangen totdat deze weer uitgezet kunnen worden in het wild. Aisha & Friends zet zich in voor de ontwikkeling van life skills bij kinderen in Sub-Sahara Afrika, met als doel hun zelfvertrouwen en sociale vaardigheden te versterken. De organisatie ontwikkelt educatieve hulpmiddelen en biedt trainingen aan docenten, zodat zij kinderen kunnen helpen bij het herkennen en uiten van emoties, en andere levensvaardigheden leren. Door samenwerking met lokale partners willen ze zoveel mogelijk kinderen bereiken.

Stitching Understanding & Development (SUED Org) is a community based Organization operating in Gilgil with projects in 16 rural schools of Nakuru, Kericho and Bomet counties. SUED actively participates in preparing a generation of young people that appreciates high moral values as a way of life. SUED takes the lead as a pillar in implementing UN Goals SDG 4 to transforming communities through books, value based education, capacity building, and climate change mitigation. The organization derives from the recognition that many children in the rural areas have limited access to books. Hardly does one find a child that has a book that is not for mainstream curriculum, but to read and expand their knowledge. Even among educated Kenyans the habit of reading barely exists so gaining knowledge after education ceases. Acquiring the reading habit will encourage children to continue educating themselves after school. With partnerships SUED empowers school leaders, parents and teachers to deliver great learning outcomes and to enable children to acquire an education that prepares them to be contributing global citizens. SUED works with a holistic approach, where the whole child and his/her development is at the center of all our activities.

Melania is opgericht in 1921. De focus is anno 2021 verschoven van liefdadigheid naar empowerment en ondernemerschap. Maar altijd ging en gaat het om onderlinge verbondenheid: voor en door sterke vrouwen. Melania is een organisatie van vrijwilligers, die zich inzet om ondernemende vrouwen in Azië, Afrika en Latijns-Amerika te helpen om hun positie te verbeteren en een zelfstandig bestaan op te bouwen. Met dat doel verstrekt zij startsubsidies aan vrouwengroepen die zelf geen krediet kunnen verkrijgen in eigen land. Honderd jaar jong, is de doelstelling van Melania nog steeds actueel.

Met bewezen educatieve materialen(zoals mini loco) wil de organisatie kinderen inspireren, motiveren en essentiële vaardigheden helpen ontwikkelen. De Empowerment packs worden gebracht naar gemeenschappen op 30 minuten afstand, waar kinderen anders geen toegang hebben tot het Centrum. Zo profiteren ook zij van gelijke kansen. De gemeenschappen die we benaderen worden geselecteerd op afstand en bestaande contacten, waarbij de aanwezigheid van alumni een groot voordeel is. PSFA is a registered South African non-profit organisation dedicated to combating child hunger in schools. Since 1958, PSFA has served over two billion nutritious meals to impoverished learners, improving their concentration, attendance, and academic performance. PSFA’s holistic school nutrition support programme ensures thousands of children receive the nourishment they need to thrive, reinforcing the fact that you can’t teach a hungry child. A donation of only R950 will enable PSFA to feed a child for a year, and R100 will feed a child for a month. Our goal is to ensure that 500 learners will receive 2 daily meals for a year (R950 X 500 learners).

HopeTown is based in Ocean View, Cape Town, South Africa. We are a youth-based community development NGO and reach out to the disadvantaged families in the community. We offer an internship programme centred around skills training for young people who have dropped out of school. We also reach out to about 130 kids in the community with dance, art, sports, tutoring and youth events. Our small high school offers Grade 7-9 and bridges a gap to enable vocational training. The products made in the internship programme are sold at our shop locally and also online. All the proceeds go back into the organisation's goal of educating and uplifting young people from difficult backgrounds.

De uitspraak van Nelson Mandela ‘Onderwijs is het meest krachtige wapen dat je kunt gebruiken om de wereld te veranderen’ deed ons besluiten te kiezen voor het ondersteunen van studenten die docent willen worden. Zonder schoolgebouw kan nog onderwijs worden gegeven in de open lucht, maar zonder goede docenten lukt dat niet.

In response to poorly resourced Catholic schools asking for help with mental health difficulties, the Catholic Institute of Education (CIE) began a mental health pilot project in 2023 with 60 teachers from 20 schools. In partnership with, and with the support of, the Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative(REPSSI), the CIE continued the project into 2024. In 2025 the CIE has continued with the project and has introduced a new component: trauma-informed practices for poorly resourced Catholic Schools. 20 Schools will be included in the project and the Catholic Institute of Education itself, will go through the training to become a trauma-informed organisation.

Menstrual hygiene is a critical aspect of girls' health and education in Kenya. Many girls in Kenya miss school during their menstrual periods due to lack of access to sanitary products, inadequate facilities, and stigma surrounding menstruation. This project aims to promote menstrual hygiene among school girls in Masaba South Sub County in Kenya and thus help to improve their health, education and overall well-being. These activities will be central to the realization of our goal: Promotion of awareness on menstrual hygiene through training, provision of affordable sanitary towels to girls, improvement of toilets and disposal systems and creating supportive environment for girls.

Book Dash is a social impact publisher of open, African picture books for very young children. We work with creative volunteers to create and distribute high-quality books for preschool children to own at a fraction of traditional publishing costs. And we share our content and our model freely under an open licence, so people around the world can (and do!) use it for exponential impact.
